During the show (which happened in a makeshift library at the center of the Grand Palais) Ellie talked to the Women’s Wear Daily about the books that changed her life.
“Recently I read Sally Rooney’s ‘Normal People,’ which was amazing,” said the “Nocturnal Animals” star, who has since dyed her Titian locks blonde and has just wrapped filming the six-part BBC drama “The Trial of Christine Keeler.” “But the books that changed my life are probably all of Fitzgerald’s: There is always an interesting tragedy at the heart of them but it’s painted with such beauty. I loved seeing the juxtaposition of those two ideas.”

Ellie Bamber attends the LA Premiere of her new movie “Extracurricular Activities” at the Laemmle’s Monica Film Center on May 16, 2019 in Santa Monica, California.
Ellie – who plays Mary Alice Walker in the film – took the opportunity to pose for pictures with her fellow actors.
Our girl snuggled up to fellow Extracurricular Activities star Colin Ford and the film’s director Jay Lowi.
She also posed up a storm with American actress Christine Ko, who took the plunge in a black low-cut sheer top and leather mini skirt.
Extracurricular Activities is a dark comedy which sees high-school student Reagan Collins murder the overbearing parents of his fellow peers.
However, when police officer Cliff Dawkins starts to notice a connection between Reagan and the kids of the dead adults, it results in a battle of wits as Reagan ties to keep his after-school business afloat.

In the dark comedy-thriller, EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES, Reagan is a model high school student with a “killer” after school job. When the parents of his classmates become too overbearing, self-obsessed – or just plain inconvenient – he offers to get rid of them for a price by setting up a series of “accidents.” But when seasoned police detective Cliff Dawkins starts putting the pieces together, it’s a battle of wits to see if Reagan can keep business booming while the rising body count brings Cliff closer to the truth.

Wilson (Jake Squared, Girl Flu), and Rich Hull (She’s All That, American Psycho II) and Paul Schiff (Young Guns, Rushmore, Maid in Manhattan) serve as executive producers. Lotus Entertainment is handling worldwide sales.
